Our site is really two sites in one: One section is completely devoted to posting and
reviewing member poetry. The other section is devoted to the study of poetry: it's
place in history, its finest writers, its forms, movements and styles. We have
worked for a blended balance of fun and meaningful interaction, and educational
research and enjoyment. Follow our suggestions below, be patient while you learn,
and you will be moving right along in no time!

Log into My Account. This is where you will complete your personal information,
list your Favorite Things, post your Personal Statement, Upload a Home Page
Photo, etc. Follow the directions, and then click on View My Home Page to see
how your page looks to other members!.

Log into Post A New Poem. You are allowed to post up to 3 poems per day
online. You will not be able to post any poems if you have any overdue Ratings
Responses pending. When you post your poems, they will appear on the New
Releases List until they receive 5 Ratings. Here are the selections you must
make in order to post your poems:
1. Select A Title: Choose shorter Titles over longer ones. This will ensure that
the full Title appears online.
2. Select a Poem Category: Choosing the right category can help poets find
your poems.
3. Select a Poem Form: A particular form, choose it here. If you are unsure, you
can choose N/A or Free Verse.
4. Select an Author's Rating: Just like the movies: G, R, or W. W poems are
strong adult caution poems.
5. Author's Comments: Share insight about the poem with your readers by
typing your comments about the poem.
Click submit and you are done!.

Choose A Poem. There are many places other than the New Release to find
poems! Here are just a few:
1. Poems By Category: Listing of poems by Category.
2. Poems By Form: Listing of poems by their Form.
3. Poetry Archives: We post the least reviewed poems in the following areas,
to make sure they get lots of ratings:
a. Least Reviewed: Overall listing of the poems with the least amount of
reviews.
b. Veteran Members: Poems written by members with over 1 year on site.
c. Oldest Posted Poems: Poems which have been on site the longest.
d. G, R, W Rated Poems: The least reviewed poems in each of the Post Ratings
on site.
4. Yesterday's Favorites: The poems nominated the day before as the favorite
poems by those who rated them.
5. Members of the Month: The highest rated poets in 4 categories are honored
on this very special page. These poets change monthly.
Once you find a poem that you like, if you really like the poem, you can nominate
it as a site favorite. You can nominate 10 poems per day for this distinction. You
can choose to post a Commentary only, or a full review. For help with how to
rate, Click here. You will receive Reviewer points once a poet has responded to
your rating.
Log into My New Reviews to read the Poetry Ratings you received from
members. Then, all you do is Respond to those Ratings..

You can store 5 types of site favorites on your My Favorites Page Here are the
types, and where you find the link to add them to your My Favorites Page.
Simply click on the appropriate links, and your favorite is added!:
1. My Favorite Poems: After each poem there is a link titled "Add this poem to
my favorites list. Click to add
2. My Favorite Poets: There is a link titled "Add to my favorite poets" on every
member home page. Click to add.
3. My Favorite Poetic Devices: Log into Poetic Devices, choose a device, then
click the link to add.
4. My Favorite Forms: Log into Poems By Form, click on a Form name, then click
on the "Add...favorites" link.
5. My Favorite Categories: Log into Poems By Category, click on a Category
title, then click "Add...favorites" link..
